Megan proudly represents the Weber lab, getting positive feedback from students and faculty alike.
Phase separation among runners-up for Science's Breakthrough of the Year!
A bit late (see Wilson 1899) … but glad to see Science highlighting this rapidly-evolving field!
Excited to see what breakthroughs emerge in 2019.
Langdon Science 2018
Cheers to 2018!
Weber lab welcomes back old friends and says goodbye to new ones over what else, chocolate. Turnover is bittersweet but we’re grateful for all the hard work over the past year and excited for new adventures in 2019!
Hackathon!
Baljyot, Colin and Steph hack together some Turing patterns at the McGill Physics Hackathon.
Goodbye, Susi! See you Monday!
Premature going-away party for Susi Kaitna, Vogel lab research associate and Weber lab’s go-to mama bear. Luckily, we get a couple extra months of your wisdom and support. Thank you for everything; we could not have survived all the ceiling leaks, freezer failures and lab moves without you!!
Goodbye, David and James!
After almost 2 years in the lab, U3 students David and James move on for their honors projects. Both made significant contributions, introducing new techniques to the lab and making intriguing observations about phase separation in vitro and in vivo. Thank you and good luck!
David finishes on a high note!
3 proteins, 2 summers and 1 phase diagram!
Fun afternoon at the canal
Weber Lab summer picnic features football and ice cream!
Steph receives Associate Membership in Physics
Looking forward to supervising Physics students and working more closely with Paul Francois, Paul Wiseman, Sabrina Leslie and other colleagues in the Physics Department!
First annual MAPS conference a success!
Congratulations to Anne-Marie for organizing a successful meeting and to Albright for winning a poster award!
Shiny new toys!
An infrastructure grant from CFI brings long-awaited equipment upgrades to the Weber lab. New microscope to follow:)
Baljyot and Steph back from a stimulating workshop in Barbados!
Huge thanks to Jackie Vogel for organizing the workshop and for Jie Xiao and Hue Sun Chan for participating!

Persistence pays off!
After numerous setbacks, Albright gets his clone! What a beautiful, unambiguous gel:)
Anne-Marie receives a Grant from ASCB!
Congratulations to Anne-Marie, Hadjara (Vande Velde lab, UdeM) and James (Zerges lab, Concordia) on their Early Career Meeting Grant, which will fund a Montreal-wide meeting on phase separation in May. Stay tuned for details!
U1 student Matias Claus joins the lab
Welcome to the lab, Matias!
Megan presents her preliminary results at worm meeting
Congratulations to U3 student Megan Couture on a great first talk! And thanks to the local worm community for the thoughtful questions and useful feedback.
